今天工作过程中听油管无意中发现，简直是天才级别的演奏家。特别特别的喜欢他演奏的MOZART Piano Concerto No. 22 in E-flat Major, K. 482， 简直是陶醉。


 
Yunchan Lim
 (born March 20, 2004) is a South Korean classical pianist who rose to global stardom as the youngest person ever to win the gold medal at the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in 2022 at age 18. Known for his "magical ability" and profound musicality, his performance of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3 during the competition became a viral sensation, now the most-watched version of the piece on YouTube.
 
Career and Achievements
  • Youngest Cliburn Winner: His 2022 victory at the Cliburn also included the Audience Award and the Best Performance of a New Work.
  • Decca Classics: In 2023, he signed an exclusive contract with Decca. His debut album on the label, Chopin: Études, won the Piano Award at the 2024 Gramophone Classical Music Awards.
  • Major Debuts: He has performed with leading orchestras like the New York Philharmonic and Boston Symphony Orchestra.
  • Upcoming Milestones: For the 2026–2027 season, Lim is scheduled to perform a complete cycle of Mozart's piano sonatas at Carnegie Hall across four concerts.

  • Early Years: Born in Siheung, Korea, Lim began piano at age 7.
  • Mentorship: He has studied under Minsoo Sohn since age 13, first at the Korea National Institute for the Gifted in Arts and later at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.
  • Early Success: Before the Cliburn, he won the IsangYun International Competition at age 15 (2019) and placed in the Cleveland and Cooper international competitions at 14.
