The feud they had with Joan is that they were jealous of her…..the show was about to be canceled then Joan came along and made the show popular and became the Star ?? of the show…..Linda and John were so boring and stuck up even at awards they always looked miserable while Joan was thanking people and smiling.

It is the other way around: Joan Collins caught Evans off guard, and Evans was the one to ask if Collins really meant what she had said in the scene. Collins was the one to say it is called "acting." The narrator is not well informed.

John Derek (born Derek Delevan Harris; August 12, 1926 – May 22, 1998) was an American actor, filmmaker and photographer.[1] He appeared in such films as Knock on Any DoorAll the King's Men (both 1949), Rogues of Sherwood Forest (1950), and The Ten Commandments (1956). He was also known for launching the career of his fourth wife, Bo Derek.[2]

Early life

John Derek was born Derek Delevan Harris in Hollywood, Los Angeles on August 12, 1926. His parents were actor/director Lawson Harris and actress Dolores Johnson.[3]

In 1973 Derek, Evans, and 16-year-old high school dropout Mary Cathleen Collins, who would later be known as Bo Derek, traveled to the Greek island of Mykonos to make the film And Once Upon a Time[28] (unreleased[30] until 1981, under the title Fantasies). During filming, Derek and Collins began an affair.[28] Evans returned to the United States and filed for divorce in 1974, but Derek and Collins stayed on in Europe until she turned 18 in November of that year so that Derek would avoid statutory rape charges.[26][35]

Derek had one granddaughter, Alyce Derek (born 1969), from his son Russell's marriage to Lynette Berry.[26] Through Alyce, he has two great-granddaughters, Ariel and Asia Duran.[39] Derek married Russian American prima ballerina Pati Behrs Eristoff in 1948.[25] They had a son, Russell Andre (1950–1999), who became paralyzed from the chest down in a 1969 motorcycle accident,[26] and a daughter, Sean Catherine (born 1953), who later wrote a memoir titled Cast of Characters (1982) about her parents' dysfunctional relationship.[27][28] Derek abandoned his wife and family in late summer 1955 after meeting 19-year-old aspiring Swiss actress Ursula Andress,[28][29] who spoke almost no English when they met.[30][31] He and Behrs were divorced in 1956.[32]

Linda Evans (born Linda Evenstad; November 18, 1942) is an American actress well known for her roles on television. In the 1960s, she played Audra Barkley, the daughter of Victoria Barkley (played by Barbara Stanwyck), in the Western television series The Big Valley (1965–1969). She is best known for portraying Krystle Carrington in the 1980s ABC soap opera Dynasty, a role she played from 1981 to 1989.  Ramtha's School of Enlightenment (RSE) is an American New Age spiritual sect near the city of Yelm, Washington, U.S. The school was established in 1988 by J. Z. Knight, who claims to channel a 35,000-year-old being called Ramtha the Enlightened One. The school's teachings are based on channelin

After being diagnosed with idiopathic edema,[44] Evans began investigating alternative healing, delving into Eastern philosophy and naturopathy. In 1985, she became involved with controversial metaphysical teacher J. Z. Knight and her Ramtha's School of Enlightenment and eventually moved to Rainier, Washington to be closer to Knight and her school.[45] Evans resides on a 70-acre (28 ha) estate that she shares with her sister, nephew and ex-stepdaughter.[46]

Evans appeared in Playboy magazine at the behest of her then-husband John Derek in 1971. As she gained fame on Dynasty, the photos were published a second time in 1982.[47]

Early life

Evans, the second of three daughters, was born Linda Evenstad in Hartford, Connecticut, on November 18, 1942,[1] to Arlene (née Dart) and Alba Evenstad, both of whom were professional dancers.[2] "Evenstad" was the name of the small farm in Nes, Hedmark, in Norway from where her paternal great-grandmother emigrated to the United States in 1884 with her young son (Evans' grandfather) and other relatives.[3] She has two sisters.[4] When Evans was six months old, the family moved from Hartford to North Hollywood. She attended Hollywood High School, where she was a sorority sister of future actress Carole Wells. Her introduction to drama came through classes that she took "as a form of therapy, to cure her of her shyness."[5] When she started her professional career, she changed her last name to "Evans."

Collins made her Hollywood film debut in the lavish historical drama The Virgin Queen (1955). The British newcomer was given equal billing with established stars Bette Davis and Richard Todd. That same year, Collins was cast in the starring role of Evelyn Nesbit in The Girl in the Red Velvet Swing with Ray Milland and Farley Granger. Claudia was the best thing about this family.  I understand why when the show was revamped, she was the only one they kept.

What a complicated situation. She should be there for her child but if she’s really that sick and working on getting better you don’t want to pressure her too much.

85,339 views Premiered Apr 14, 2026

@johnso4926
