Beloved Mao the cat (2013 - 2026)

Today, we said goodbye to our beloved Mao, who passed away at the age of 13. He first came into our lives in October 2013 as a tiny six-month-old known then as "Precious," named for the distinct white diamond mark on his back. Many of our friends from the Sina Surfing days might remember him by his old nickname, "October."

Mao was the ultimate companion, standing faithfully by my daughter’s side throughout all her school years. We truly believe that some angels choose fur instead of wings, and Mao was certainly one of them. Though he is gone, the love he gave us has turned into a treasure we will carry forever. Rest in peace, sweet Mao.
